ABOUT LATIF RIVERS

 

Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey Latif attended Elizabeth High School where in his senior year he averaged 20.2 points, 4.3 assist, 3.3 rebounds,  and 2.5 steals per game. He also acquired accolades of First Team All-County, All-State, 1st Team All-Senior Team, All Defensive Team, 1st Team All-Conference, along with being a North vs South All Star game participant. Following his Senior year at Elizabeth High School, Latif Rivers did a Post Graduate year at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut, New Jersey. Over the course of his year at Avon Old Farms Latif averaged 24.1 points, 4.5 assist, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game. He made the All-New England Team, the All-Tri State Team, 1st All-Area, and Team MVP. After a successful year at Avon, Latif Rivers attended Wagner College in Staten Island, New York on a full athletic scholarship. He concluded his career as one of the top shooting guards in school history. He was a Two-time All-NEC selection, scoring 1,513 career points while helping Wagner to a a 76-47 record over his four years. Latif averaged 14.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg and 2.4 apg for his career . He graduated from Wagner College as a Bachelor of Science with a double concentration in Business Managment and Finance. Latif is currently in pursuit of his perfessional Career.
